Charlotte Childress is an author, researcher, and educator who co-wrote Clueless at the Top: While the Rest of Us Turn Elsewhere for Life, Liberty, and Happiness (2004) with her identical twin sister, Harriet Childress. For over four decades, Charlotte and Harriet have researched and presented on social and political hierarchies, focusing on how these structures impact areas from government and corporate culture to personal life. Together, the sisters hold eight college degrees, including one PhD and four master's degrees. They have a combined fifty years of teaching experience at the college level in fields including pharmacy, math, engineering, chemistry, and physics. Charlott is active in her community, serving on various boards for schools, neighborhood organizations, and public parks. Her personal hobbies include organic gardening, traveling, reading, and needlework. She is an avid outdoors enthusiast who enjoys cycling, camping, and backpacking.
