Saint-Cloud is a Group 1 flat horse race in France which is open to
thoroughbreds aged four years or older. It is run at Saint-Cloud over a
distance of 2,400 metres and it is scheduThe event was established in
1904, and it was originally called the Prix du Président de la
République. It was initially held at Maisons-Laffitte, and it was
contested over 2,500 metres by horses aged three or older. The race was
abandoned throughout World War I, with no running from 1915 to 1918. It
resumed in 1919 at a new track, Saint-Cloudled to take place each year
in late June.
