Zusammenfassung

Addressing the critical gap in military behavioral health, this edited volume focuses on the understanding and management of physical and psychological well being of military aviation personnel.  Medical complaints among aircrew members frequently include behavioral and psychological components that can go unrecognized despite behing highly treatable.  Yet, until now, there has been no comprehensive reference for psychologists or aviation medical professionals outlining the evidence-based approaches to assessment and management of these complex medical conditions from a health psychology perspective..  This volume serves as a practical and scholarly guide to the integration of clinical health psychology within military aviation medicine. Drawing on the expertise of leaders in the field, it explores the intersection of behavioral health, operational readiness, and medical care for aviation service members.  The intended audience is designed for providers across the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard , this book introduces the capabilities of health psychology and highlights the essential role in comprehensive care of aircrew. This edited volume provides practical frameworks, applied knowledge, and multidisciplinary insights that enhances the identification and management of behavioral health factors affecting aicrew health and performance.
