Kelley J. Donham is Emeritus Professor of Occupational and Environmental Health, College of Public Health, having served as Professor on the faculty from 1973 until 2013. He was born and raised on a farm in Johnson County, Iowa, where he was actively involved in the family farm operation for many years and is still actively involved in agriculture as he owns and manages the 440-acre Pleasant Creek Farm with a colleague. Dr. Kelley obtained a BS in Premedical Sciences and an MS in Preventive Medicine and Environmental Health from the University of Iowa, College of Medicine, USA, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University, USA. He practiced Veterinary Medicine for several years before returning to the University of Iowa as a faculty member in 1973. Has written five books, 26 book chapters, and 160 peer reviewed articles in the field. He achieved the rank of full Professor in 1984.

Dennis J. Murphy is Nationwide Insurance Professor Emeritus at Pennsylvania State University, USA, and a founder of Murphy Agricultural Safety Consulting. He became a Certified Safety Professional in 1984. He retired from the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Penn State in 2017 and was a founder of the Agricultural Safety and Health Council of America (ASHCA) in 2007. Dr. Murphy has authored two professional reference books for agricultural safety and health. He has consulted nationally and internationally and is past President of the National Institute for Farm Safety (now International Society for Agricultural Safety and Health).
