Young and sheltered, Ponder Porcupine doesn't want to accompany Mama to visit the Muskrat family. "They stink," he says. But on a fishing trip with Papa Porcupine, Ponder comes face to face with several homeless neighbors. Their houses have been washed away by a flood and they are climbing into dumpsters to find food. The experience leaves a bad feeling deep down inside him.
After praying and a bit of gentle parenting, Ponder discovers when you give to someone in need, you receive something wonderful in return.
