Patricia Zube started writing as a child and has never stopped. As an elementary school teacher, she shared her love of prose, poetry, and drama with her students. Her passion for writing, along with research into family history, has led her to Gift of the Bear. She is a descendant of both French Acadians and New England colonists. It has been her life's dream to tell this immigrant story that sheds light on a little-known but tragic part of early American history.
Patricia is a member of SCBWI, New Hampshire Writers' Project, New Hampshire Historical Society, Poetry Society of New Hampshire, Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance, and the American-Canadian Genealogical Society. She has been published in various university anthologies and newsletters. Her poetry has been published regionally. Gift of the Bear is her first novel.
