Jessie Duncan Westbrook was known for her contributions to the literary world. Westbrook is perhaps best recognized for her translations of various works, particularly those from the Persian and Urdu literary traditions. She collaborated with Inayat Khan on the translation of Hindustani Lyrics, a collection of Urdu poetry rendered into English.
