Shirley Rogers Baustian grew up in the beautiful state of Montana, surrounded by mountains. At one time, she owned and rode horses. Shirley enjoys watching wildlife and birds, and she also loves to cook and bake bread. A group of writers regularly meets in her home, all of whom hope to publish their books. Shirley is also an illustrator; she illustrated one of her own books as well as the book her daughter wrote. She lives in southwestern Montana with her little dog, Gracie. Shirley has four published books: Good Friends, More Good Friends, and Good Friends Make Good Families. She also illustrated the book written by her daughter, The Adventures of Copper the Dog.
