Tamara Duda (Kiev, 1976) es una escritora, periodista y traductora ucraniana, autora de dos novelas publicadas bajo el seudónimo de Tamara Horicha Zernia. Su debut literario Dotsia (Hija) le valió a Duda el prestigioso premio de la BBC al mejor libro de ficción de 2019. La novela también se encuentra entre las treinta obras en prosa más importantes de la Ucrania independiente según el Instituto del Libro de su país. Con el estallido de la guerra en el Donbás, Tamara lo abandonó todo para servir como voluntaria en el frente. En 2014 y 2015, ella y su esposo recaudaron fondos y compraron y entregaron equipos y ayuda a los soldados ucranianos. La autora pasó dos años completos en la carretera en áreas de combate y se refiere a este período como el más trágico, fascinante, intenso e inspirador de su vida.

The novel is also listed among the thirty most important prose works of independent Ukraine according to the Ukrainian Book Institute. With the outbreak of the war in the Donbas, Tamara left everything behind to serve as a volunteer at the front. In 2014 and 2015, she and her husband raised funds and purchased and delivered equipment and aid to Ukrainian soldiers. She spent two full years on the road in combat zones and refers to this period as the most tragic, fascinating, intense, and inspiring of her life.
