Navy veteran Billy Bad-Ass runs his own bar when Larry Meadows returns to his life 34 years later, after being in prison. Meadows has looked for him so that Billy accompanies him on a terrible mission to recover the body of his son, who was killed in the war in Iraq. Billy accepts, and Meadows also intends to recruit an old comrade of both, Mule.
